Over the years I have had the opportunity to teach many people how to start a wordpress blog, and the most complex thing was obviously how to install a blog in a matter of minutes.

How to setup step by step:

If you haven’t clear some step in the video, here you will see the step by step procedure:

We will setup a website like this one I am showing here, with a special template that you will changes to fit your website topic. Obviously you don’t need to have a dog website.

The website we will create

This is just an example. And I will also show you how to choose between hundreds of professional themes to have your own design.

The website will be ready with a social sidebar, then I will give you the code to install an autoresponder where you can make your reader to subscribe to your newsletter, or download some special bonus.

And it will be ready to have also some advertising on the sidebar.

How to buy the domain

What you need to do first is to buy the domain and the hosting where to setup the blog.

The first thing you have to do is to go to justhost, choose where you want your website to be located, and then hit the signup now button.

Once you are in the “I need a domain name” form, insert the domain name you desire and check to have the right extension.

Once ready hit the next button.

Register the domain procedure

 

Compile the form with your information and choose the option you prefer.

I never go lower than 12 month.

Uncheck sitebackup pro and the site lock domain, and leave the Domain privacy if you want that people don’t see who is the owner of the domain.

If you want to leave your information visible uncheck the privacy, you can also choose to have the backup pro, or you can activate it later if needed.

How to set the hosting oprions

 

You can choose to pay via Credit card, or via paypal clicking the more payment options link.

When ready click the next button.

In this page leave all the option like they are and scroll down to click complete, don’t add any option if not needed.

Once you click the complete button, the account will be created and JustHost will email to you all the information to log in into your account, but remeber to write down all the information in order to not loose any password or username.

Once completed the operation you just need to Click to choose a password for your account, in this screen insert the password twice to confirm that the password is correct and then click create.

Now check your email, you will receive all the data needed to login.

Insert your username and the password you have choose, and hit login.

Now form the main panel click install wordpress.

Make sure to leave free the field, if there is something inside delete everything and click the check domain button.

Now select I have read the terms and conditions and click install.

Once the installation is completed you can click in the button in the header to see the login credential

Here you will find your username and password to login to wordpress, write all this information down in a safe place because you will use them in future.

If you click on the URL you will be redirect to the website, and if you click to the admin url you will be redirect to the back end where you can perform all the administrations task.

To login in the back-end copy and paste the username and the password in the fields and hit login.

Now before to explore the administration section let’s complete our installation with the special plugin that we will use later to steal my complete website setting.

Don’t worry if your dashboard is different than the one you see here, later you will understand better how everything work. For now let’s click on the sidebar menu Plugin and click add new.

In the search field write wp clone and click search.

Once the search is complete click under the wp clone by Wp Academy and click install now.

And then once installed click activate it.

Perfect, we have setup our first wordpress installation. Now you have a basic wordpress installation.

The Wp-Clone plugin is a plugin that let you to copy from a give backup a complete website.

In the next tutorial I will give you a URL of a backup to clone, where I have already setup all the neede plugins and the complete website, so in only one click you will be ready with a professional blogl.

Now it’s time to explore your admin section and start to understand how wordpress work.
